How do I calculate the number of days between two dates?
Select the "Date Difference" mode, enter your Start Date and End Date, then click Calculate Difference. The tool instantly shows the exact number of days, weeks, months and years between the two dates. You can also choose to exclude weekends for a weekday-only count.
How do I add or subtract days from a date?
Select the "Add / Subtract" mode, choose your start date, select whether to add or subtract, then enter the number of years, months and/or days. Click Calculate New Date to find the resulting date. This is useful for deadline calculations, project planning, or finding dates in the past.
What are working days and how are they calculated?
Working days (business days) are days excluding weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and optionally public holidays. In the Working Days mode, select your start and end dates, check which days to exclude, and optionally enter specific holiday dates. The calculator counts only the remaining days in between.
What day of the week was a specific date?
Use the "Day of Week" mode. Enter any date — past, present or future — and the calculator will tell you which day of the week it falls on (Monday, Tuesday, etc.), along with the week number of the year and other useful information about that date.
How does the event countdown work?
Select the "Countdown" mode, optionally enter an event name (like "Birthday" or "Exam"), and pick the event date. The calculator shows exactly how many days, hours, minutes and seconds remain until that event, along with a progress bar showing how far through the year you are.
Does this calculator account for leap years?
Yes. The Date Calculator fully accounts for leap years in all calculations. Whether calculating date differences, adding months, or counting working days, the tool uses the actual calendar — including the extra day in February every 4 years — to ensure accurate results.
