❓ Frequently Asked Questions – Image Cropper
How do I crop an image with this tool?
Upload your image by clicking "Choose Image" or dragging it into the drop zone. Once loaded, click and drag on the image to draw your crop selection — a green box with corner handles will appear. Drag the corner handles to adjust the selection. Select an aspect ratio preset if needed. When satisfied, click "Crop & Download" to get your cropped image.
What aspect ratios are available?
The tool offers Free crop (any shape), 1:1 Square (Instagram, avatars), 16:9 Widescreen (YouTube thumbnails, wallpapers), 4:3 Classic (standard photos), 3:2 Photo (DSLR format), 9:16 Portrait (Instagram Stories, TikTok), 2:1 Wide (Twitter headers) and 1:2 Tall. When an aspect ratio is selected, dragging automatically constrains the crop box to that ratio.
Can I enter exact crop coordinates?
Yes. Below the canvas you'll find four coordinate input fields: X position, Y position, Width and Height — all in actual image pixels. Type exact values to position the crop precisely. The crop selection on canvas updates in real time as you type, and you can see the exact pixel dimensions in the info overlay on the canvas.
Can I rotate or flip the image before cropping?
Yes. Use the toolbar buttons to rotate the image 90° left or right, flip it horizontally or vertically. These transformations are applied to the canvas before cropping, so you can straighten a tilted photo, flip a mirrored image, or change orientation. After rotating, click "Select All" to automatically crop the full rotated canvas, or draw a custom selection.
Is there a size limit for images I can crop?
The tool supports images up to 20MB. Very large images (above 5000×5000 pixels) are displayed at a reduced scale on the canvas for usability, but the actual crop is calculated at the full original resolution. So even if the canvas shows a scaled-down version, your download will contain the full-resolution crop.
