❓ Frequently Asked Questions – Watermark Image

Can I add both text and logo watermarks?
This tool supports either a text watermark or a logo/image watermark — one at a time. Switch between them using the tabs at the top. For text watermarks, you can customize the font, size, color, opacity, rotation and position. For logo watermarks, upload any image (PNG with transparency is recommended) and control its size and opacity.
What is Tile mode and when should I use it?
Tile mode repeats the watermark across the entire image in a grid pattern. This is the most effective watermarking method for protecting photos — it's almost impossible to crop out or clone out. Use tile mode when you want strong protection for photos shared online or on social media. The rotation and opacity settings apply to all tiles.
What opacity should I use for my watermark?
For a visible but non-distracting watermark, 40-60% opacity is the recommended range. At 100%, the watermark completely covers the underlying image. At 20% or below, it may be too faint to read clearly. For copyright protection purposes, 50-70% gives a good balance between visibility and not obscuring the image content.
What format should my logo be in for the best result?
For logo watermarks, a PNG with a transparent background gives the best results — the logo appears cleanly on your image without a solid rectangular background. If your logo is a JPG or has a white background, it will appear with that background on the watermarked image. The tool supports PNG, JPG and WebP for logo uploads.
Are my images private?
Yes, completely. All watermark processing happens in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Neither your original image nor the watermarked result is ever uploaded to any server. Your photos stay on your device throughout the entire process.
